TyRon Jackson is the founder of Operation Warm Wishes, a nonprofit organization that provides support for those in need and is looking to not only help Orange County, Los Angeles and beyond, but also the world.
He started the organization after experiencing homelessness and hard times himself.
“I started Operation Warm Wishes 18 years ago because of my own struggles as a young man, and as a youth, my family went through some struggles,” Jackson said.
“I was homeless for a couple of years, living in motels and things like that, I thought that God didn’t love me for who I am, but once I realized that he does love me, I want to give that same hope to the world, and I want to give that same hope to people who feel like no one cares for them.”
Also at the same time, Jackson leaned into his faith to help realize his next step in life.
“I would pray and pray and say ‘God, fix me. Please fix me’. He was like, ‘TyRon, you’re not broken. I made you the way you are,’ and that gave me strength. And I was like, ‘You know what? I want to make a difference,’” Jackson explained.
