Operation Warm Wishes Presents: Extreme Safety Days and Community Potluck- Helmet and Book Giveaway!

Giving, helping, serving, encouraging one another is in many ways safety! Yesterday was indeed an extreme day of safety, but more than ever a day of love and community!

I get emotional after each Operation Warm Wishes event, I reflect on the lives that were touched and how we came together to make a difference. It fills my heart!

The Extreme Safety Day was more than helmets, books and food, but a chance for our homeless, struggling students and families in need to know that they have people who care and love them.
You see, you never know what’s going on in a person’s life. Many times people are smiling on the outside but hurting on the inside. Words and acts of love and kindness can go a long way, even to the distance of giving a person the strength to never give up or even get back up.

Young and old, everyone needs compassion.
There were countless moments of compassion that gave people of all ages and backgrounds, hope. Students helping and serving students, a Homeless Veteran cry tears of joy because he was reminded that he is loved and appreciated! To see people working, talking eating, dancing, playing, laughing together and putting smiles each other faces is extremely beautiful!

I truly believe that everyone who was there at the Operation Warm Wishes Extreme Safety Day Community Potluck-Helmet and Book Giveaway was meant to be there. We left feeling loved, inspired, and motivated.

We gave out over 50 helmets to students! Which means,we are helping protect over 50 heads! We gave away hundreds of books and resources. It truly was an Extreme Day of Safety, Love and Community!
