The words that were in my heart, the words I kept telling everyone at the Pampering Papa event were “It’s Ok to get back up.”
Sometimes we think when we fall down or get pushed down, we can’t get back up. But we can.
Homeless or not homeless, we all fall down, but it’s the getting back up that matters. Never give up! I wanted the fathers to know that. I wanted them to know that they are loved.
Lightheartedly I asked one of the fathers why did he fall asleep in the spa chair, his response was, “You told me to relax and be pampered.” He said he hasn’t felt this way in a long time.
Upon seeing and talking to some our dads on Sunday, I saw faces of hope not faces of discouragement! I heard words of determination and joy. I saw restored motivation. It was wonderful to see. It was great to hear.
They helped make my Father’s Day special. Seeing them uplifted, helped encourage me.
My heart was touched in very special way at our Pampering Papa event. Lives were touched and together we made a difference!
Once again, thank you to everyone who served, donated and helped make it a beautiful time of uplifting, and compassion!
