It’s a beautiful thing when people can come together to make a difference! A week ago today on July 4th 2018 Operation Warm Wishes had the Ultimate Food Drive at Tustin High School. The goal was to fill a U-Haul Truck with food to help feed our Veterans, Families, Children and Homeless. For the fourth year in a row, we reached.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to EVERYONE who donated food and supported our food drive.
I remember as a high school student working at Rubio’s in the Tustin Market Place. I was homeless living at the Sunland Motel in Santa Ana. I would have to walk to motel late night after work to arrive at the room where me and my family were living to just eat a bag of chips from the vending machine. I would often cry. I understand the pain of going to bed hungry. I made a vow to always help feed those in need regardless of who you are.
On July 4th we did not only collect food, but we came together with the purpose of making a difference! It was beautiful!
