Operation Warm Wishes to Host “The Great Food Shopping Spree for Children in Need”

In a heartwarming bid to support children and families, Operation Warm Wishes (OWW) is excited to announce “The Great Food Shopping Spree for Children in Need” taking place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 15th, 2024, at Albertsons on 13270 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA.

Founded by TyRon Jackson, a renowned community leader and advocate for the homeless and youth, OWW has been a beacon of hope in the Tustin area for close to 17 years. With a history of overcoming adversity himself, Jackson established OWW with the vision of building a stronger community through kindness, compassion, and empowering the less fortunate.

This unique shopping spree event will offer each participating child $40 to purchase a variety of groceries, including cereals, pasta, canned goods, meats, fruits, and vegetables. To foster financial literacy and responsibility, the children will be paired with shopping coaches— community members, and students—who will assist with budgeting and shopping decisions. The event is designed not just to provide food, but to also impart valuable life skills in budgeting and cooperation.

Registration is open, and those interested are encouraged to reach out to TyRon Jackson directly at (714) 363-6621.

“We believe in the power of unity and the difference it can make in a child’s life,” said TyRon Jackson. “Our shopping spree is about more than food; it’s a step towards nurturing our children with the care, education, and community support they deserve.”
